Sydney Star Observer recently ran a competition to give one lucky reader the chance to ride with Dykes on Bikes in the Mardi Gras Parade. Jenny Gunther kindly donated her seat to the lucky winner.
There were over 750 entries in a week for the comp showing how many people would love to be riding with us. The winner was Juls from Erskineville. However, being the lovely girlfriend she is, she has given the prize to her partner, Ema, who will be attending Mardi Gras for the first time. Ema actually rides herself but damaged her Harley when she and Juls moved to Sydney recently.
Ema and Juls came out to the Virgin’s ride on Saturday and Ema was seriously chuffed to be on a bike again – even if only on the back – and is really looking forward to her first Mardi Gras parade
