It’s time for the AGM
Another year has passed and it’s time for our AGM. There will be a few positions on the Committee up for grabs this year so if you have been thinking about doing something for the club then now is the time.
We will be looking for a new President, Vice President, Secretary, Media Officer and General Members. Please contact us for more information if you are interested but unsure of what the roles entail. Here is the nomination form.
Also each year members get to choose the charities they would like the club to support. Last year our nominated charities were Wires (Inner West) and B Miles Women’s Foundation. Each of these charities receives $2,000. The past year saw so much devastation due to the drought followed by the bush fires that we asked the members if we could make two more $2,000 donations. These went to Animal Rescue Collective and Two Sheds Women’s Workshop. If you are interested in nominating a charity please bring some information so you can explain what they do to the members.
The rules of the club are in our Constitution. This is based on the Model Rules set out by the Department of Fair Trading. Any changes in the Constitution must first be approved by the members. This year we will be asking you to vote on the updated constitution. Some of the changes are cosmetic (making the numbering consistent), changing the name of the Club back to the correct version (Dykes on Bikes Inc – not Sydney) and actually changing some things like allowing Proxy Voting and the rules relating to it.
The Committee will give a run down on what’s happened this year but the AGM is also a chance for members to have their say. If you want something included on the Agenda you will need to get the information through to the Secretary at least one week prior to the AGM. This can be as easy as sending her an email [email protected]

As always we will be showing a video of That Was The Year That Was and supplying you with nibbles. The bar will also be open if you want to grab a drink.
We will be starting at 3pm and hope to be finished around 5pm.
